The short version
- Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not advice.
- Readings are bought as credits, one used per reading.
- Credits live on the device you bought them on and cannot be moved or restored once used.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.
Using the app
By downloading or using Life Oracle you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. Life Oracle is published by Infinium Research Inc.
You must be old enough to hold an Apple ID and to enter into this agreement in the place where you live.
What a reading is, and what it is not
Life Oracle produces readings drawn from four classical Chinese traditions — 四柱八字, 紫微斗數, 鐵板神數 and 面相 — interpreted through our automated reading service.
They are offered for entertainment and personal reflection only. They are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind, and they are not a prediction of what will actually happen.
Please do not make medical, legal, financial or other significant decisions on the basis of a reading. If you need advice, speak to someone qualified to give it.
Readings are generated individually, so two readings from identical details may differ, and no particular outcome, wording or level of accuracy is promised.
Purchases and credits
The app is free to download. Producing a reading requires a credit, bought through the App Store:
- One reading — a single credit.
- Three readings — three credits, at a lower price each.
These are consumable purchases. A credit is spent only once a reading has finished, so a reading that fails does not cost you one. Payment is taken by Apple at confirmation of purchase.
Credits are held on your device. Because consumable purchases are consumed rather than owned, credits do not transfer to another device, and a credit already used cannot be restored — including after reinstalling the app. Restore Purchases recovers only purchases this device has never counted.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled entirely under Apple's Media Services Terms. We cannot issue, approve or reverse a refund. Requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If something went wrong with a reading, write to us first — we would rather understand the problem than have you out of pocket.
Your content
You keep every right in the details and photograph you provide. You give us permission to send them to our reading service provider for the sole purpose of producing your reading. Please only upload a photograph of yourself, or one you have permission to use.
How that information is handled is set out in our Privacy Policy, including the part about the photograph being retained by our provider.
Fair use of the service
Please do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or automate access to the app or the service behind it, and do not use it for anything unlawful or to produce readings about someone who has not agreed to it.
Availability
Producing a reading needs an internet connection and depends on a third-party service. We cannot promise the app will always be available or uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue features. If the service is unavailable, no credit is spent.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life Oracle is provided as-is, and Infinium Research Inc. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the app or from decisions made in reliance on a reading. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app means accepting the current version.
