Common questions

The scanner can't read my ticket

Ticket paper is thermal and reflective, which is what usually defeats a scan. Three things fix most failures:

Make sure the game selected in the form matches the ticket, too — the scanner validates against that game's number ranges and will reject a line that can't belong to it. If it still won't read, type the numbers in; every other feature works the same either way.

Scanning runs entirely on your iPhone using Apple's built-in text recognition, so it also works with no signal — and your photo never leaves the device.

It's suggesting a store in the wrong place

The app can only use your location if you've granted it. Without permission it falls back to a major city in the game's own jurisdiction, which may be nowhere near you.

Turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → US Lotto Signal, then generate again — the suggestion should show a "Near you" badge with a distance.

State games are deliberately pinned to their own state. New York Lotto tickets can only be bought in New York, so the app will point you there even if you're elsewhere.

Location also drives Best odds near you, which lists the games actually sold in your state ranked by their true published odds — worth a look, since some state games are hundreds of times easier to win than Powerball.

Reminders aren't arriving

Check three things, in this order:

Use Send Test Notification in the app to confirm the whole chain works. Reminders are scheduled a few draws ahead, so opening the app occasionally keeps the queue topped up.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall

Tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the paywall. This re-checks your Apple ID and is the fix in nearly every case — particularly on a new device or after a reinstall.

Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase. If it still doesn't unlock, email us the date of purchase and we'll sort it out.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're cancelled through Apple: open iOS Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose US Lotto Signal and tap Cancel.

You keep premium access until the end of the period you've already paid for. The Lifetime purchase is one-time and never renews, so there's nothing to cancel.

Are the draw results official?

Results come from public open-data feeds published by state lottery authorities, and refresh when you pull down on the History screen. When a feed can't be reached the app shows clearly labelled sample history instead, so you always know which you're looking at.

Always check a winning ticket against the official source or with the retailer. We can't validate prize claims.

Does the app improve my chance of winning?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Lottery draws are random. Every combination has exactly the same probability, and no analysis of past results changes that — nor does where or when you buy your ticket.

What the app genuinely does is make playing easier and better organised: it builds lines from real frequency data so you're not staring at a blank slip, tells you where the nearest retailer is, warns you before sales close, keeps your tickets together and shows the official results. The confidence score describes how closely a pick tracks historical frequency — it is a description of the method, not a forecast.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes everything, permanently — saved tickets, generated numbers, settings and any cached location. It all lives on your device and nowhere else.

There are no accounts, so there is no profile of you on a server to delete. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is stored where.
